NB : If anyone can clarify/deny the following information, or give more information about
them, please contact me A lot of the information is sketchy, and I would like to be accurate ;)
Modelling
Gail started modelling at about 16 years of age. She remained a model until 1992. She was
one of the more popular Page 3 girls, appearing in both The Sun and Daily Star newspapers,
as well as a few less glamourous poses for the Daily Sport and Sunday Sport newspapers. She
made it onto the calendars of various companies, along with the aforementioned newspapers.
In particular, the Sun's 1990 and 1991 calendars showed how obviously suited Gail was to the
glamour modelling industry. She came 4th in the Page 3 Girl of the Year 1990 competition whereby fans of
each girl rang a preset number to register their vote.
In her very early years, Gail modelled for German magazines like Superhasen, New York, Manhatten,
and the German versions of High Society, Penthouse, and Playboy. She's also done lots of UK and US
shoots for Playboy, Penthouse, Club International, Men's Letters, Daily Girls, and Celebrity Sleuth.
In 1989, she entered into a US Bikini Open challenge.
Television
Gail has appeared on television (on and off) for the last eleven years. To begin with,
she just seemed to get bit parts in adverts for the likes of washing powder and shampoo.
In 1989, Gail appeared in a "documentary" feature on the This Morning show.
Around 1990, she appeared on the Bobby Davro show, aswell as an Endurance-style challenge show aired
around Christmas-time (anyone got specifics on the name of this show?)
After attending a drama course, Gail landed a small part in the popular soap opera "Brookside",
where her Liverpudlian accent was very much at home. It aired in 1991, and then again last year on Living.
She played Carla, the girlfriend of bad-boy Barry Grant. It was not a very promising start to her
career, as the character of Carla was dim, questioning, and very two-dimensional.
She had a bit part in the series Boon, where she played a waitress.
She has presented on Live! TV, a cable channel sadly no longer in operation. She presented the
evening sports programme.
Gail has been a celebrity guest on the quiz-shows Blankety Blank (who was the host? and who were the
other panellists?) and Food Fight in 1998 (hosted by Andy Parsons.)
She then joined Channel 5 when that channel launched, and she was one of the major "assets"
on display during their launch week, appearing in the newspapers and on the first programme
to air. She presented the sports magazine show "Turnstyle". This aired on a Saturday and
Sunday. Gail then moved to the newer programme "Live & Dangerous", another sports show,
which she still presents sometimes.
She also co-hosted a show called Members Only, and has been
on the lifestyle show Al Fresco. Back in February 1998, she
was a guest on Melinda's Big Night In. She also did a sports show called
Under The Moon, which was also from early 1998.
Gail also seems to have a soft spot for furry creatures. She was the co-presenter of the
children's ITV animal show "Brilliant Creatures".
Most recently, Gail joined the team of the ITV show "How 2", where she got to perform some
over the top acting (a judge, for instance.) She'll be presenting on the next series, too.
She has also done several programmes for Challenge TV.
One of these was called Prize Time.
I am always on the lookout for more details about Gail (please no fictional tales...)
